A year or two ago Profit Accumulator was the go to matched betting site but is it still where your money should be invested? Probably not. Profit Accumulator have stood still and other services have equalled and even surpassed them as a matched betting service.
They had built up a huge membership so maybe felt that they were golden but whatever the reason PA have let slip what was once a good service. Their tools and services are now inferior to rival Oddsmonkey.com
Despite this they are still charging £17.99 a month while you can get the superior tools from Oddsmonkey for £15 a month. So without going into any deep analysis at this point it is clear there is reason to move services.
Inside Profit Accumulator
The above shows the main screen you are shown when you login. Each section is clearly marked and you can easily find the training you need.
Once you choose a section all the offers are listed and you can choose to view them or mark them as completed.
Some of these guides have videos. They are all clearly explained and well thought through. This part of PA is still good and teaches users the basics fine. The problems are when you get to the tools. They just aren’t as good as OddsMonkey’s and are looking a bit out of date.
This has caused a lot of problems for PA, they used to use Oddsmonkeys oddsmatcher but at some point decided to develop their own tool. For quite a while PA didn’t have an oddsmatcher at all, leaving customers without the most basic of matched betting tools. Once they did luanch their own tool it was plagued by teething problems. This has since settled down but there are key features missing from it. Firstly at OddsMonkey you can log your bets in their profit tracker software. This is nowhere to be seen on Profit Accumulator meaning we have to go to their profit tracker software afterwards and retype all the bet information. At Oddsmonkey it is literally one click to log bets.
Another feature that Oddsmonkey has is Betfair integration. You can lay all your bets with one click directly from the Oddsmatcher. This is an incredible time saver and makes matched betting so much easier. It really cannot be understated how good this is. Profit Accumulator do not have this feature.
The Match Catcher
This is an oddsmatcher set up for horse racing offers. One good thing about this is that it updates in real time however there is no easy way to filter it by offer. There isn’t really any point in seeing a list of matches for a horse at a bookie that has no offer attached to it. That means we have to look at the offers page and then set up the filter ourselves to look for good matches. Once we are done with an offer we then have to do it all over again for the next offer. This is really time consuming.
By comparison OddsMonkey have a racing matcher that lets you choose filter the matcher with one click for each offer. You can quickly change between offers meaning you can keep an eye on multiple races and offers at one time. It’s just better and easier to use. I really don’t see the point in Profit Accumulators match catcher. It’s just the oddsmatcher again.
The Acca Catcher
This is the tool for finding acca offers. Generally this is fine and does what it needs to but look at the screenshot. We are having technical issues. Not an uncommon thing to see I’m afraid. Another missing feature which is again available at Oddsmonkey is the ability to build your own accas. You are limited to the ones they throw up.
This has been in beta since it launched and there doesn’t appear to be any work being down on it. When you launch the calculator you can’t change the stake and play around with it to make the dutch how you want you are restricted to using the suggested stake. This restricts it’s usefulness heavily. If you are a more complex matched bettor and you like to dutch instead of backing and laying all the time you might find this is too restrictive.
Oddsmonkeys offering allows you to change the stake as you please and you can also select different bookmakers and their odds directly from the calculator.
The Each Way Catcher
Again this updates in real time meaning it’s quite useful. There is no extra place facility here though. Some of the most lucrative offers in matched betting are extra place races and there is no provision here to capitalise on them. With Oddsmonkey they have a tool dedicated to extra place each way races. This is completely missing from Profit Accumulator and with them being worth so much money you have to ask, why?
This has been around for a while now and it really needs updating. There is no integration meaning you have to write all your bets down and then manually enter them into the profit tracker. This is a time consuming process and you might as well just enter them into a spreadsheet seeing as though you have to write them down elsewhere anyway. It also has no way of tracking what type of bet it was or which exchange you used.
The forum is very popular and probably the most used feature on the site. Most of the forum is quite quiet these days but the reload offers section is very busy.
Profit Accumulator offer good support they can just be a bit slow to respond. If you are in a panic and need urgent help this is very frustrating. One thing I have found is that Oddsmonkey is the opposite. They respond almost immediately to all support queries because of this, it’s the place I would recommend all beginners in particular sign up.
Profit Accumulator have had to drop their price recently, it now costs £17.99 for their full platinum package which includes all the tools. They used to charge add ons for new tools. In comparison, Oddsmonkey costs £15 per month.
Profit Accumulator still has a few good features but they don’t really excel at anything anymore. There tools are lacking in functionality compared to Oddsmonkey and they are still more expensive than their competition. I can’t recommend people sign up here because there is a much better deal to be had else where. It will be interesting to see if they try and make some changes in the future to stop this slide.GET A FREE TRIAL TO ODDSMONKEY HERE
